Good new construction here on Cape Ann is often hard to find. Even harder is new construction with architectural considerations for those of us with lousy knees. In other words: first floor bedrooms. The Village At West Gloucester has all the bases covered. But this post isn't about the nice homes near Wingaersheek Beach. It's about an art show Eileen Scanlon is hosting in the model on 9/22 and 9/23. Rockport en plein air painter John Caggiano will be talking about and exhibiting his impressionist work from 11-4 on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. But be careful: it's so pretty up there and his work is so moving you could end up walking away with a house and/or a painting! Call Eileen for details: 978-515-7435.
Lots of runners around here. Today was the 6th annual Lone Gull 10K. Sorry, I had a choice: this or the Fish Box Derby. Next year I'll catch the Derby.
This weekend was Gloucester's annual Parade of Sail. We were out in Gloucester harbor among the vessels most of the day Sunday.
Ever wonder where the ships sleep?
